Summer Rushing and Blair Rushing are the founders and executive chefs behind Summer’s Sushi, a family-owned culinary company bringing fresh, artfully prepared sushi experiences to Pensacola and communities throughout the Florida and Alabama Gulf Coast. Summer began developing her craft more than a decade ago at Jack’s by the Tracks in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Together, she and Blair transformed that experience into a growing business built around private in-home sushi parties, interactive classes, catered events, customized sushi presentations, and multiple traveling chef crews.
Today, Summer’s Sushi serves clients from Pensacola and Pensacola Beach to Panama City, as well as Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fairhope, Alabama. The company also operates a sushi bar inside Pensacola’s renowned Joe Patti’s Seafood, where the team prepares its signature creations using premium seafood selections. Recognized as Best Sushi in Pensacola by VIP Pensacola Magazine for three consecutive years—2023, 2024, and 2025—Summer and Blair have built a distinctive Gulf Coast brand known for creativity, hospitality, personal connection, and sushi genuinely “made with love.”
